We Need More Alternative Energy in Texas
Working in the alternative energy field and helping people who want to be independent from utility companies, I always like to tell them why we need alternative energy sources. We have never in the history of our planet used so much energy as we use today. Take a look at the reasons we need alternative energy sources and discover more. Fossil fuels are sources of global warming – it has been proven that crude oil and natural gas are major contributors to global warming. This has been an environmental issue for many years. Using solar and wind energy are non-depleting energy sources which we can use over and over.
Fossil fuels are depleting at a fast rate and are becoming harder to recover. As the world’s population continues to grow we use more and more fuels to heat our homes, gasoline and diesel fuel for our vehicles, industrial use becomes greater, thus making another case why we need alternative energy sources. With oil depleting we see a rise in the price for a barrel of oil which hits the consumer hard. The recent BP oil devastation which happened in the United States will probably go down in history as one of the world’s greatest disasters involved with an oil company. The environmental impact was tremendous killing endangered species, while releasing an estimated 30 million gallons of oil into the ocean.
With the ever-increasing need for better, cleaner energy, the time is now. With current developments in solar, wind, and hydroelectric systems, all systems are ready to be put in place for this new technology. This is a real concern for our society and our future generations to come. We must solve our energy issues now and quit letting these big oil companies dictate to us what we pay for energy.
